Azureus
i have started using this program over "shareaza" as shareaza is just died on me .. never connects and always pending.
Azureus is great so far but i reach only max speeds of 111KB/s mostly when I am on 2MB broadband, anyone got any hints n tips for tweaking Azureus?

Re: Azureus
I use it and don't get a huge download either. I assumed my upload was limiting it - plus isn't it also reliant on the sources ?
Any handy tweaks would be greatly received here too.
BTW - when you limit the upload it seems to limit the download too - anyone else found this ?

Re: Azureus
When I used to use it I had to fiddle with the upload to get the best download indeed.
I never got very high download speeds whatever I did, it is also reliant on the sources.
Also if you're operating behind a firewall make sure you've allowed the azureus ports through as this can sometimes affect speeds.
p.s. I use newsgroups for my downloading needs now, maybe consider that?

Re: Azureus
Depends a lot on your sources too... I find the more popular sites such as mininova (yeah, I know it's just a list of other trackers really) to be slow. Other sites, in particular filelist and UKNova, can almost max out my 3Mb connection. These sites take upload/download ratios into consideration, so aren't just full of leachers
