Problems with a Linksys WRT54GS Router!?
Hi All!
Last night i decided, after too many beers, to secure my wireless network.
Unfortunately, it now won`t accept the password which i entered into it so i cannot now access it Is there any way to reset it to its defaults at all?
Ive tried the http://192.168.1.1 and admin as the user name and the password but no joy there.
Ive tried the name of my home network and all the passwords i usually use but to no avail! Please help me as my wife thinks i`m quite good at this sort of thing and i don`t want to disappoint her!
Any help would be resulting in many Green Reps!
Thanks Guys.
Budwieser! ( Drunken ****) !

Well if it was me, I would push the reset button at the back of the linksys router to reset it back to the factory settings and you could start from scratch.

try holding the reset button on the back down for about 10 secs

Re: Problems with a Linksys WRT54GS Router!?
 Thank you so much Guys!
Sometimes the simplist things are the easiest ones to try!
I didn`t even realise the router had a reset button to be honest!
Thanks again all. All sorted now.
Budwieser.

Stick the password on a sticker on the router, lets face it, if someone is looking at the router, the wireless security is pretty unimportant, they could plug into the sockets on the back.

then reset the security password, name, SSID, QoS logon parameters (for ADSL).
Easier to remember the password.
