Cant Access Certain Sites

Hi all
Im new to this site but have heard good things and im very stuck! I am on ntl living in Leicester and am having problems connecting to certain websites. An example is www.foood.net. Other websits including www.ebuyer.co.uk are very slow to load. I have compared with friends and it seems to be people on ntl are the only ones with this problem! Anyone had this before or have any ideas how to fix it?

Thanks very much!!

Moved to Web Proxy Discussion

Inevitably if you can get to some sites OK, but others are not, it's a ntl proxy issue. Try changing proxys and see if that makes any difference.

Re: Cant Access Certain Sites

As a newbie to this site could somebody tell me exactly what a proxy server is and how I can change it, how do you put in on auto etc.( I also have problems accessing some sites.)

I access from Manchester via a wireless router (if that's relevant).
