Re: cost of the war in iraq

A smiling Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld told the world's media at the Pentagon today that it has been confirmed that a massive cache of pea shooters of the type pictured below have been unearthed near Mosul in the north of Iraq. Also, in an unpopulated region close to the Syrian border, US troops discovered large fields designed to supply the ammunition for these weapons, i..e. peas. On the right below is an example of the ammunition found at the site (picture courtesy of the US Army).
Mr. Rumsfeld told reporters that the fields of peas (see below) clearly constitute a chemical weapons programme, especially as they were being sprayed with pesticides that would cause premature death for anyone eating them, let alone those being shot by them. He also said they were investigating the Syrian connection and reports that Iran may be developing pop guns."This is terrorism of the worst kind," said Rumsfeld, "it is a threat to the pea, sorry free, world and thoroughly justifies the mass murder of thousands of Iraqi children."

Tony Blair today published his latest dossier on weapons of mass destruction and the need to remove terrorist regimes who are planning to use them. The dossier, called War and Peas, was produced by intelligence experts at the publication, Pea Farmers Weekly Intelligence Review. It claims that peas could be deployed against the West within 45 minutes. "Our intelligence suggests that this could happen even quicker," said Mr. Blair, "If they turn up the gas and bring them to the boil earlier."

"We must meet this threat immediately," he said. "If we wait, if we do not have the courage of our convictions to act, our intelligence suggests that within one year the terrorists will have developed an even more devastating weapon to use against us - heat seeking carrots."

Mr. Blair was then driven away from Downing Street accompanied by men in white coats. "Have you any more to say about the vegetables?" reporters shouted as he left."No," Mr. Blair responded, "It is not my policy to comment on Mr.. Bush and his cabinet."

Re: cost of the war in iraq

The word "war" slips from the lips of politicians so easily, yet the people who have never experienced it forget what it means. As the Japanese leader Shogun Tokugawa said: "If you to go to war you have already lost". War is not some sanitised news report about "smart bombs" and cities "falling". It is about dead children, dead mothers and fathers. It is about kids seeing the dismembered limbs of their mums and dads splattered all around them; it is about mums and dads seeing their children in the same state. It is about waking up to find every member of your family is dead.

"My father was in the Medical Corps during the Second World War and he told me of the endless times they filled coffins with ballast to give loved ones the impression there was a body inside when it was just the bits and pieces that were left. He told me how young soliders in agony and afraid to die would be dropped at the makeshift medical centres screaming for their mothers thousands of miles away. Simon Weston, the British soldier who suffered horrendous burns in the Falklands War thanks to the stupidlity of his commanders, presented an excellent BBC documentary about that war in 2002. In it he said that there was no glory in war. When they killed you, he said, they were killing some mother's son. When you killed them you were doing the same.

"In Afghanistan, which is only the start of the "war on sanity" being waged by the disturbed minds of Bush, Blair and their masters, there were many more dead mother's sons and daughters and there were thousands of dead kids and their mums and dads. That's the reality that Bush and Blair are seeking to sell the world as "fighting for freedom". A point that should never be lost is that they both know that's what they are really doing."

Re: cost of the war in iraq

The BBC reporter, Andrew Gilligan, has been denounced, condemned and vilified for quoting a source as saying that the Blair 'government' (unelected dictatorship) 'sexed up' the dossier making the case for war with Iraq when what he said is quite obviously true.

The Blair-installed Hutton Inquiry, like the Blair-controlled Foreign Affairs Committee, has given Gilligan a very hard time and sought to portray him as a poor journalist who misrepresented his source, the weapons expert, Dr. David Kelly, who is later said to have committed 'suicide' amid the controversy (whipped up by the Blair 'government') that followed.

Three simple facts on the public record:

* On the say-so of Blair's unelected 'advisors', Alistair Campbell and Jonathan Powell, words were changed in the 'intelligence' dossier on Iraq and a key phrase was taken out to make it easier to 'sell' the war. The manipulation actually went much further, but if that alone is not 'sexing up' the dossier then what the hell is - putting naked people on the cover??

* Dr David Kelly told two other BBC reporters on other programmes the same basic story that he was not happy with the way the dossier was put together and that the claim that Saddam could deploy 'weapons of mass destruction' in 45 minutes against external targets was laughable. This ludicrous claim has now been accepted to be a nonsense (see under 'lie').

* The invasion of Iraq was provably planned before Bush was even not elected to power and so of course a cover story had to be concocted to 'justify' the conquest to the public. It was not a case of 'was' the dossier a catalogue of lies - it HAD to be. As former UN weapons inspector in Iraq, Scott Ritter, said before the invasion, Iraq's threat was basically 'zero'. This mean that a fake threat had to be lied into existence on both sides of the Atlantic. And it was. Asa result, no 'weapons of mass destruction' have been found after the mass murder and maiming of tens of thousands.

Thanks to Andrew Gilligan we have had all this confirmed at the Hutton inquiry - if you observe the detail and not the image of what has been said and revealed - by the very Blair/British Intelligence clique that claims they always operate at the very pinnacle of honesty. They would not know how to tell the truth if their lives depended upon it and they have told lie after lies to the inquiry. So much so that by the conclusion the lies were clearly at odds with each other (just as with 9/11). As Mark Twain said: "If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything." The Defence Secretary, Geoff Hoon, and Alistair 'Mr. Spin' Campbell were both exposed in this regard and Hoon will no doubt be asked to fall on his sword to take the heat off Blair.

None of this would have been possible without Andrew Gilligan. The Hutton inquiry will no doubt criticise and condemn Gilligan when they should be celebrating his contribution to exposing the horrific mentality that is controlling the country. Good on you, mate, and know that there are people who appreciate your contribution to the public awareness of the manipulators who dictate their lives.

Re: cost of the war in iraq

Earlier this month, on December 4th, I was sitting in a hotel bar in Bermuda watching CNN as I killed time waiting for a flight after my talk there. CNN were broadcasting live coverage of a "town meeting" at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, where President Bush was answering non-challenging questions from a sycophantic audience. Then suddenly, as I sipped my beer and despaired at the hero worship being enjoyed by the village idiot, Bush made a startling statement about September 11th and I said to my wife - "you won't believe what this guy has just said, I bet the spin doctors are screaming at the screen."

For the next two days I scanned the newspapers, the Internet "news" sites, etc., including CNN, but there was no mention of the amazing statement he made. Nor had I found any mention of it since. That did not surprise me at all, but now, thanks to Didier, a reader of the David Icke website in Belgium, I have the words that Bush said - ironically posted by the White House website, hidden away in the full transcript of the meeting:
www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2001/12/20011204-17.html

Bush was talking about what happened on September 11th and how he heard of the atrocities in New York. If you remember, Bush was at a school in Florida where he was taking part in a photo opportunity, which included reading a story about a pet goat to a class of children. The media around the world told us, from White House statements, that Bush heard of the twin tower attacks when his chief of staff, Andrew Card, spoke in his ear in the classroom as he addressed the children. There was the famous picture of Card leaning over Bush accompanied by headlines like: The Moment Bush Knew.

But Bush told the Florida town meeting a very different story. This is what he said about what happened that morning in answer to a question by someone named Jordan:

"Well, Jordan, you're not going to believe what state I was in when I heard about the terrorist attack. I was in Florida. And my Chief of Staff, Andy Card -- actually, I was in a classroom talking about a reading program that works. I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower -- the TV was obviously on. And I used to fly, myself, and I said, well, there's one terrible pilot. I said, it must have been a horrible accident. But I was whisked off there, I didn't have much time to think about it. And I was sitting in the classroom, and Andy Card, my Chief of Staff, who is sitting over here, walked in and said, "A second plane has hit the tower, America is under attack."

THIS IS STAGGERING - THERE WAS NO LIVE TELEVISION COVERAGE OF THE FIRST PLANE HITTING THE TOWER - HOW COULD THERE BE?? THE FOOTAGE OF THE FIRST CRASH WAS TAKEN BY ONLOOKERS AND SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS AND DID NOT AIR FOR HOURS AND DAYS AFTER IT HAPPENED. THERE WAS LIVE COVERAGE OF THE SECOND CRASH, OF COURSE, BUT NOT OF THE FIRST - SO HOW ON EARTH CAN THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES CLAIM TO A PUBLIC MEETING TO HAVE SEEN IT LIVE ON A TELEVISION OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM WHERE HE WAS WAITING TO ADDRESS THOSE CHILDREN?? AND WHY HAS NO NEWS ORGANISATION OR "JOURNALIST" PICKED UP THIS FANTASTIC LIE?

And what about that statement about "there's one terrible pilot". What?? A passenger jet crashes into one of the twin towers full of people and all the President of the United States can say is "there's one terrible pilot"!! And then he walks into a classroom to read a story about a pet goat?? God help us. "There's one terrible pilot"? We are not talking a light plane flown by an amateur, but a commerical airliner and even if it had not been a terrorist outrage, it would still have been an enormous tragedy requiring the leadership of the US president.
AND EVEN AFTER HE CLAIMS THAT HIS CHIEF OF STAFF TOLD HIM OF THE SECOND PLANE, AND THAT "AMERICA IS UNDER ATTACK", BUSH WENT ON
READING THE STORY ABOUT THE PET GOAT!! YOU SIMPLY COULDN'T MAKE THIS UP, COULD YOU?
As Associated Press reported on September 12th: "In Sarasota, Florida, Bush was reading to children in a classroom at 9:05 a.m. when his chief of staff, Andrew Card, whispered into his ear. The president briefly turned somber before he resumed reading. He addressed the tragedy about a half-hour later. "

"Briefly" remained somber?? He's just been told that the New York twin towers have been struck by commercial airliners. Death and destruction on a massive scale was already obvious and the President was "briefly somber" before continuing to read a children's story? Bush told the town meeting:

"But I knew I needed to act. I knew that if the nation's under attack, the role of the Commander-in-Chief is to respond forcefully to prevent other attacks from happening. And so, I've talked to the Secretary of Defense; one of the first acts I did was to put our military on alert."

BUT HE COULD NOT HAVE TALKED TO THE SECRETARY OF DEFENCE UNTIL HE FINISHED THE GOAT STORY AND LEFT THE CLASSROOM AND ONLY THEN DID HE PUT AMERICA ON ALERT. HOW MUCH CRUCIAL TIME WAS LOST THAT COULD HAVE PREVENTED, FOR INSTANCE, THE ATTACK ON THE PENTAGON, WHICH HAPPENED 40 MINUTES AFTER THE SECOND TOWER WAS HIT?

Bush has been caught in a monumental lie here and it is just one of the endless daily lies that gush forth from the lips of this lying imbecile, who is currently a national hero. So news media, where are you when a real story is set before you? I would appreciate it if people could circulate this to all the news media you can think of and bombard the White House with requests for a statement about the provable, blatant, lies of the President of the United States about one of the darkest days in US history.
