Yikes

Well they do seem pretty resistant to the odd bump, drop, being run over.

I've dropped my sony k750i a few times and my O2 XDA got dropped and kicked along concrete on more than one occasion and it worked faultlessly.

Well that review on the Nano has tempted me enough to ask gf for one for Xmas.

Although with me wanting my £199 hifi soon.... time to get the old puppy dog eyes out

Re: I-Pod Nano Stress Test

Wow it takes some punishment there, Id still not have one as simply I dont like the apple software. Love the look of the device though, just the software which lets it down.

Thanks

Re: I-Pod Nano Stress Test

I really wish Apple made a version of that with removable SD card storage. How cool would that be? Should be possible to do it with the same thickness.

They could make it smaller. They could blow the hdd out totally and just use 2 gig sd cards instead(I know there expensive but not for long) Solid state memory instead of a disk would mean longer battery life and no spinning lumps of metal
Theres cheap sd card mp3 players out there argos has one for the princely sum of £20 http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/st...clickfrom=name

Now that seems like a very good idea.
I'd definately buy one in that case, it would really improove speed and battery life.
At the moment I'm happy with my 3G Ipod. Until that dies, I'l stick with it.

The iPod Nano doesn't have a hard drive. That's why it's so thin. Only the standard iPods come with a HDD and I think it'll be some time before they are able to replace the 60GB HDD with a solid state chip.

LOL !

I'll stick to my 20gig 4th Gen one until it does. Might get a nano or shuffle for the missus though - depends if I can work out that there will be no impact on each others XP account.
