ummm sounds odd but my housemate just got an apple powerbook, we have ntl broadband, via ethernet, how do i connect to the internet, can't find a socket! i've never used a mac before! x

Look down the side of the Powerbook for something that looks bigger than a US telephone jack (presumably with a picture of a bunch of linked computers). Can't remember whether it's on the left or right though as I haven't used an Apple Powerbook in ages.
