IE7 worth it?
Hiya all I am trying to get the gf to use Firefox, so I have hatched a evil plan, to install IE7 but would it work for IE sites only?
I fancy trying it out as I prefer Firefox, so loosing IE won't be a major thing, but I need IE for a few sites I do visit.
Is it stable enough not to wreck my computer, and run a few websites?
And would it likely put of my gf from using IE, and move her to Firefox.

Re: IE7 worth it?
I have had it installed since the release and it works ok, however I never use it as prefer firefox.
Only problem is windows update will not work with it there is an update needed first.

I love it when an evil plan backfires

Re: IE7 worth it?
Bit worried as microsoft looks like closing all download sites as they find them, trying to keep CF members one step ahead, not easy

Re: IE7 worth it?
Well since I closed the rouge ie7 program and restored cpu power, I have had no more problems with it using it to download various app's for my pc right now, as doing a clean install of alot of programs to repair some dodgy file errors been getting.
Serves me right for trying to mod some .dlls and create a new gui.

Re: IE7 worth it?
IE7 might be worth it if M$ get it right, it supposedbly will improve the standards compliance and introduce tabs, these 2 things alone are good, the anti phishing thing is a nice bonus.
