TV Aerial through DVD

Hi all

I run a tv aerial to
RF in on a VCR
RF out goes to
RF in on a DVDR the
RF out then goes go a TV aerial socket.

Should I be able to play a video on TV through the DVDR without it being switched on. Seem to be able to see a very very poor picture just about.

Any ideas

Thanks

Mike

Re: TV Aerial through DVD

You could be getting interference - ie the VCR is using an RF channel close to either the DVD or one of the terrestrial channels. Hopefully the VCR will allow you to change the RF channel it uses.

Alternatively, have you tried reversing the order of the pass thru, eg Aerial -> DVDR -> VCR -> TV?

Been said many times on the forum, but why not use scart leads?

Re: TV Aerial through DVD

Question: are the terrestrial (aerial) channels similarly attenuated when the DVDR is off? If not then try changing the RF output channel of either the VCR or the DVDR so that they are further apart.

Re: TV Aerial through DVD

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Problem is the VCR works and plays on the TV at channel 8 without a lead into the RF in but when I plug the Aerial from the DVD the picture goes

Any ideas.

You've lost me now! List the connections that work and then the ones that don't.
