Cancelling Telewest..
I am seriously thinking about cancelling my Telewest Tv contract, the picture on some channels is awful and the delay on the remote is equally as annoying..can someone tell me what charges i will incur if i cancel my tv contract, i have had it less than a month.

Re: Cancelling Telewest..
I would have thought that you would have to pay for the full 12 months but I could be wrong

Re: Cancelling Telewest..
yup you are in a 12month contract. However, you may be able to downgrade to the lowest package for the remainded of the contract to save money.
Have you contacted telewest regarding the problems? Sounds like it may be a signal strength problem which could well be fixed by an engineers visit.

Re: Cancelling Telewest..
You should be able to break out of the contract as you aren't getting a satistfactory service, especially as its less than a month. Is it within two weeks of signing the contract? You do have a 2 week cooling off period.

The cooling off period is from when you first sign up- and having the equpiment installed puts and end to the period, regardless of how long it is between sale and install- this is stated in the terms and conditions.
Agreed though, that if you are not getting a service that you are paying for then you may have a case for leaving the contract (material breach of contract by telewest )

not easily...
you need to prove that telewest aren't providing the service they should be.
As i asked above, have you contacted TW regarding the problems? If so, what attempts have they made to resolve them?
