New install Questions

As you know my father died on the 8th, and I have had to get a new customer install.

I will get 2 TiVo 360s, and I guess a SH5, for £50 saving £100, then in 18months they will more than double the price to £118

I current connect my Netgear Nighthawk X6 to my SH3 which is set in to the mode that allows the X6. Router mode?

Will I be able to just connect the X6 to the SH5 like the SH3?

I'm annoyed as I will lose loads of programmes on my V6.

I hope they can transfer my emails some of which are important.

When I closed my dads account I went into one of the programs to change the email address, but it failed as it wants to send an email to a closed email account.

More stress.

Re: New install Questions

Small point. V360 is nothing to do with TiVO. It runs on Liberty Global’s Horizon TV platform. If you are having two boxes this will be a master hard disk box plus a mini streamer box, reducing your recording capacity to 1TB total.

You gain voice control, but lose a lot of the TiVO exclusives like wishlists. Also because the boxes run off a headend server, any Broadband outage will prevent you from playing most stored recordings.

Re: New install Questions

Hi Hom3r just wanted to say sorry for your loss

have you tried posting about the email address issue on the virgin media forum? The moderators work for virgin media and they're very helpful with things like this.

You will lose your recordings but getting things from on demand is a lot quicker I've found so you just need to find your show and set a recording or add it etc should let you get on demand shows fairly easily.

Let me know how you get on and again i'm so sorry for your loss and wish you all the best
