Win 10 updated, now it's slow
Windows 10 (22H2) just updated.
Security Update KB5027215
KB5027122
Servicing Stack 10.0.19041.3025
From a very speedy machine, I now have a slow brick. Clicking on any icon to launch any program now means up to 10 seconds before any program launches.
It's definitely one or more of the updates, but online searches have not offered any advice.
Any ideas?

That option no longer appears to be available. I just get a list of updates, with no rollback option.

System Restore? or is it off?
Repair install perhaps? use the latest media creation tool to do an upgrade keeping everything just cleaning the OS. Then switch off WU till you know there is a fix
You could try the repair from a customised ISO using NTLite and install all the updates before the install
Another option is Windows 11 if system says no download the iso and use Rufus to put it on a USB with allow install on older hardware fix
Whatever you choose backup first

Re: Win 10 updated, now it's slow
I had to resort to reloading Win10, the first time since I got this PC over 3 years ago. Lots of fiddling to do now, to get it how I like it. The delay has vanished!

The in place upgrade would have deleted the broken windows installed a clean one and your set up would have survived. However after 3 years the clean install is likely the best bet anyway

You could have uninstalled the updates through control panel>programs>programs and features>installed updates.
I've just installed Security Update KB5027215 and had no issues.

I'd forgotten about that path I just checked, and 31 updates hit my machine today.
All is good now, apart for Win10 telling me I only had to reinstall 5 programs. So far it's 18!!
