I had the pleasure of seeing the Monkees at Portsmouth Guildhall many years ago.
Davy Jones was a local lad living in Bedhampton.

Loved the TV show and the music especially the songs they wrote themselves plus Mike's solo stuff. Really sad to see that he's gone but the music will last forever.

Sadly, thats the case now for a lot of 1960s and 1970s stars, they are now mostly in their 70's or older, so slowly being lost.
They are just a little bit before my time, but I do remember a few of their songs.
