Does anyone know what happens if you move house whilst in the middle of a fixed contract but where the new house is in an area not supported by Virgin?
I would have thought you could terminate without paying up the contract as Virgin can't supply, but can up you?

 | Afraid not unless they've changed their policy. Very unfair too if you're willing to take the service and they can't supply it.

Well just found out VM customer services are all closed, heard from someone who works there, and just found outOur new property cannot have VM, though couple of door away they do have it.
So will write to VM and ask if they can extend it to new address if not to cancel contract. WILL send letter as signed for, if no reply withing 14 days I will cancel the DD.

Why - you sign a 12 or 18 month contract then 3 months later you are told your job is moving to another part of the country in an area VM doesn't supply - anybody would think it reasonable to allow just a 1 month notice without penalty.

 | Whatever you do don't just cancel the DD, you will be asking for trouble and may ruin your credit rating!!!

You might find a little room for negotiation as VM have had bad publicity over their policy in the past.https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.the...tract-exit-fee
Piss someone off and you lose them as a potential customer for life. False economy.

 | Really, don't cancel the DD - as others have said, this will have a negative effect on your credit rating.

How long do you have left on your contract?

If there is a price rise in the near future, use that excuse to get out of your contract.
However, I guess any company announcing price increases in these dark times will be crucified, an absolute PR disaster
