30ft Ethernet cable run

I need to temporarily de-camp from my living room as I’m have some building work done. I will be setting my TV up the next room but I’m unable to move my Superhub.

My question is, will an Ethernet cable of 30ft still work, between Superhub and TiVo box. I could go down to 17ft if I drill a hole through the wall. Would Wifi work, although I would rather use the wired option.

I appreciate any thoughts or ideas

Tom

Re: 30ft Ethernet cable run

A decent quality ethernet cable should do you fine, but the TIVO needs a co-ax connection as well. Again a decent quality cable should work fine. Just don't buy the crap that likes of B&Q sell.
