Couldn't find the thread in which this appalling incident was mentioned at the time but I was so glad to hear that the lunatic who murdered an apparently very decent and open-minded guy is going to have a nice long time to reflect on his actions without sex let alone virgins.

I just pray the sentence isn't reduced upon appeal and that this maniac is kept inside to serve as a deterrent to anyone else who might think this sort of behaviour will be tolerated.

I hope Mr Shah's family and loved ones gain some comfort from this sentence.

It won't. A pre meditated and exceptionally brutal attack with absolutely no remorse was always going to get a very long sentence.
