Re: Future daesh Members ?
So why not simply say "future IS members"
Basing future membership of IS on this crime is a bit of a leap really .There are lots of violent Muslim criminals who don't run off and join IS .People like them tend not to want to put themselves in harms way ,just inflict the harm on others

Because they makes them feel proud of their "islamic state". Ditto isis and isil.
They detest the moniker "daesh", even throwing their toys out of the pram and threatening death to anyone using the term.

Re: Future daesh Members ?
Having lived close to that area about 20 or so yrs ago I doubt if we are talking about future daesh members.
At the risk of sounding racist rather than telling the truth when the Asian population started coming into this country back in the late 60's early 70's the educated ones were settlied in the South of England. There were many, many other uneducated Asians, mostly from villages, that were sent north to support the then (in decline) cotton industry.
Before anyone bites my head off I know as I am a fully qualified cotton weaver and tackler.
They didn't want to integrate then and now they want to impose Sharia law in the areas where they are srongest and that would cover the old industrial areas of Lancashire and Yorkshire.
It is a time bomb waiting to happen.

Re: Future daesh Members ?
It's possible Daesh will recruit them.
From what I can gather, the problem is there is a massive gap between Muslim youth and Muslim elders. This is causing conflict and apparently a lot of resentment, particularly in the youth. Daesh are apparently very good at exploiting this resentment to their own ends.
That's not to say that this is an exclusively Muslim problem. It isn't. It is apparently worse within Islam though, and getting worse.
It's worth pointing out that banning Muslims from entering the country (as Trump has proposed in America) is unlikely to solve the problem. Daesh have made very effective use of social media to recruit members, so the recruiter doesn't even need to be in the same country. In fact, that solution is likely to have the opposite effect. Young Muslims may well feel their home country is banning them for no reason. After all, if they are innocent and still being treated like terrorists, this will cause resentment, which Daesh can then exploit.

Re: Future daesh Members ?
I can't help wondering why the name and hence ethnicity of the victim hasn't been mentioned in the report. Is this another attempt at PC reporting or is it simpy to protect the victim?

If it's not a race related crime then is it relevant?

Re: Future daesh Members ?
Well in fairness the tolerant approach in many western European countries hasn't hampered their recruiting so as daft as I personally think trumps idea is at least it's something different. This is a problem that only islam can solve and sadly Islam is riddled with people who lean more to extremism then to what this country stands for, such as a large number of Muslims supporting Sharia law. There is a huge problem with islam and not much real effort nationwide or internationally to admit it much less address it and sooner or later non Muslims are going to reach a point where they would rather just be rid of the issue by being rid of the people.
I hope it's later of the two would prefer never but realistically this is not a situation that can just keep going and the longer it does the more chance of support for the extreme right.

Re: Future daesh Members ?
How much integration do you allow in a country? Muslims have taken over areas in large numbers and it is not just the area they live the whole place is converted to some kind of half Western/Muslim look.
You can drive through areas like Bradford and you can see the changes. Can't say I have really driven around Birmingham much but the Muslims patients I work with at work describe it as a crap hole so there are loads of changes taking place.
Is there anyone actually keeping watch of all these changes taking place?

100% if possible, but it appears some groups do not want to integrate at all.

What you describe is anything but integration.
