150M : What is the best BB speed checker

I am on the 15Mbs tier.

Which is the best speed checker?
These are the wired results

The one on Cable forum says 18Mbs to 29Mbs

http://www.speedtest.net gives 158Mbs

JDAutoSpeedtester gives erratic results of between 60Mbs and 120Mbs

firstly there isn't a 15mbits tier and secondly if you are on 152mbits, the only speed checkers available on this forum are for less than 50mbits or 50mbits so why would you think you would get a reliable result for something which is designed to test one third your speed?

I'd answer with it doesn't matter. As long as what you're doing is working fine there's no real point in speed testing.

If you believe there are issues Think Broadband is the best in my opinion at showing them otherwise just use it and enjoy it; who cares if it's not 100% all the time?

I have just had the speed boost form 100MMbs to 150Mbs and I was interested if I was getting the full through put so I tried a speed checker and using Speedtest.net and seems that I am.

Just out of interest Ken, if you hadn't done the speed test, would you have noticed your speed had increased at all ? Presumably not as you needed a speed test to find out

I think we're long past the point where these speed increases are relevant to the vast majority.

I am in the Thames Valley and our area is always the last to get the speed boost.

1st of this month I checked my on line bill and it said that my speed boost was activated but I did a speed check and it was showing 106 Mbs, I mention it on the VM community site and one of the mods checked and activated my speed boost and it is showing as 158 Mbs so now I am a happy bunny! There was a large Microsoft up date the other day and I did notice the speed increase.
