To be honest I only buy big branded batteries, like Duracell, Energizer etc

Isn't Energizer by Duracell anyway?
Think they are pretty much the only big brand now. Are Ever Ready still on the go?

I actually saw this happen. I reported leaking batteries to a staff member in the Swansea, Morfa Park store and they were taken off the shelf.
I will never buy cheap batteries like that.

We personally don't like cheap batteries as we are of the old school in that you get what you pay for generally.

Big fan of Ikea alkaline batteries here. Cheap and very good.
I wonder if the purveyors of dodgy batteries on certain internet sites are ever called to book in the same way.

Having kids, we get through batteries like nobodies business. I always buy Duracell Procells which are the industrial packs of standard Duracells for a fraction of the price. 10 AA batteries for £2.99 - you can't go wrong!

These cheap shops are all the same. I bought some cycle lamps out of SAMs, and they were totally rubbish, took them back. All the staff did was throw in the bin.
And the other problem we had was - a well known pound shop is selling xmas crockery, you cannot buy this in the shops.
We bought some online, the delivery guy turned up. put it on the doorstep and walked away. No wonder, out of 20 items, 16 were either cracked or broken.
We called the customer line, and they were clueless. Took them into our local shop. They didn't have a clue as to what to do.
We just got our money back. All these 'cheap shops' buy crap goods, and we buy them.
The only winners are the companies that own them.
