How to watch VM in another room without a box and change channels

Hi all,

I am looking to watch Virgin Media in another room without buying another box.

I have a Tivo box downstairs which I would like to watch upstairs and be able to change the channel. What equipment do I need to buy to be able to watch and change channels?

Thanks

Hi dcclanuk

I've managed that. You need a RF demodulator (this is the one I got), plugged into the tivo scart socket then plumbed into your RF distributor (i assume this is how you get your tv to your upstairs room, it's how i do it)

Then you need a infra red extender to pass the signal to your tivo from the upstairs room so you can control the tivo remotely. One extender in the room you're in, the other in line of sight of the tv box. The link below is for the one i use. It works well for me.

hope this helps.

Thanks Daveeb - I looked at your links and have found something similar that is both in one product:

The same thing on Maplin is for £59.99!

Hopefully this does the trick!

Thank you for your response
