Samsung UE48JS8500

Hi all,

I bought the above TV yesterday, and have a question.

It has a one connect mini hub, which has my sky hd box and Xbox one connected by HDMI, and also my surround sound connected via optical audio.

I have seen a one connect box and wondered what the difference between the two boxes were?

Also I'm using the stock picture settings at the moment. Can anyone offer advice on what to adjust so I can get the best picture on the TV for both sky and the Xbox one.

Thank you

Re: Samsung UE48JS8500

There is a thread on the AV forums about the difference between the two connect boxes.

https://www.avforums.com/threads/dif...-mini.1949286/

In summary
Quote:
One connect mini is only for changing little things like hdmi. Maybe tomorrow, you'll be able to go through hdmi 3 with this TV, or hdcp 3, etc...

One connect is the full box that contains all electronics of the TV (processor, lan, hdmi, upscaling, ...). You can consider your TV is a PC screen and the one connect box is the PC. That's far better !

Re: Samsung UE48JS8500

Best setting to adjust are all of them lol. Play about with contrast and brightness as they are usually way too high.

Also if you are gaming best to turn off all of the enhancing settings, they can really make things look worse.

The problem with turning everything off is it could spoil it all IF you run your Xbox One through it to watch TV?
