Cost of Virgin movies
I think in all the many years i have had telewest / virgin i have only purchased one movie and that was some chick flick for the wife.Does anybody else feel that £5 for an hd movie is poor value?.Just looking at the moment at the movie list and an hd movie called "beyond the reach" is £7.99 what the heck.I can go to a multiplex and get a matinee ticket for a fiver and get dolby digital giant screen etc for the same price. No brainer.I would purchase films more often if they were circa £3 for hd films.Anybody else feel virgin are missing revenue by pricing films too high?.

I agree with you PPV movies are a total rip off although to be fair to VM Movies whilst expensive they are still cheaper than Sky Store on my Sky+HD box. New movies on Sky Store in HD are £5.49 or £4.49 in SD the cynic in me believes they are priced in such a way as to make the buy and keep service look more viable.
Beyond the reach in HD on Sky Store is £9.99

On Amazon Instant new releases are £3.49 in SD and £4.49 in HD so cheaper than both VM Movies and Sky Store.

Same price £3.49 with google play too, although not sure if they do HD.

Yes indeed it is cheaper but its nice to have ones own physical copy in my book.

A lot of slightly older movies seem to be the same price from all providers.
TankTop Movies is a good comparison site. For the King's Speech, pretty much all providers including Virgin and Google charge £2.49 for SD rental except Sainsbury's (£1.99) and CinemaNow (£2.99).
