Virgin TV Anywhere buffering still an issue?

Virgin TV Anywhere buffering still an issue?

Went to use my parents Virgin TV Anywhere account to watch BT Sports but it kept on buffering for a couple of seconds every 20 seconds or so. Essentially it was unwatchable. Other channels seem to work fine, including SKY Sports. I tried it on my PC and laptop. I remember having this same issue about 8 months ago and gave up using it.

Seems to be plenty of posts and threads about this on the Virgin Community forum but no real explanation or solution. Does anyone know how to stop this from happening? I've got 17mb broadband and all other streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, SKY Go, You Tube and iPlayer always work perfectly.

Probably dips out due to high demand or signal strength. Sometimes I get an intermittent pixelation or stutter on some channels.
