virgin media overcharged on DD & refuses to pay back

Hi.
Me and my wife got a virgin media contract from their loyalty team.
Contract was for 6 months for 55.49 pounds every month, started in July'14.

the package price is 85.99 pm for all customers but we get a 30 pounds loyalty discount on top of that every month which makes our monthly payments as 55.49.

FIRST BILL: in july we paid 2 months in advance total of 110 pounds. (that covered july and aug)

SECOND BILL: in sep virgin media charged us 85.99.

THIRD BILL: in oct our bill is for 55.49 again.

when i asked them to credit my account by 30 pounds for sep bill, they are saying we have issued 3 bills and 3 times 30 has been credited.

I said first bill was for two months then they said we can credit one more time in Jan 2015 to give a total of 6 30 pound credit. I told them i want to finish my contract in dec 2014 because its a 6 months contract. but they just refuse and don't resolve.

how to i get my sep bill adjusted ?? is there any protection against unauthorised direct debit payments ?? or is it up to them to take whatever and whenever from my account without my agreement ??

please help ....

I would give the team another quick call and explain again that the loyalty discount wasnt added to that bill. Also, there are no 6 month contracts, if you're a student you an get 9 month contracts but other than that it's 12 or 18 months.

You should have recieved paper work stating this or there MAY be something on your first bill?

Protection against unauthorized direct debit payments is clearly explained to you on the direct debit sign-up page.
