Plan B seems the most sensible. Don't know why 501 - 510 were never utilised in the first place.

Re: Rumour: Sky Sports HD channel numbers (Vote just for fun)
I voted plan B, but.....
as John Malone* now controls Eurosport, how aggressive will VM/Liberty be with their EPG placements of channels that they own/have majority stakes in....?
Perhaps we may see Eurosport in a prime 501 or 511 slot.
(* - For those that don't know, John Malone owns the majority stake in Liberty Global, the company that bought Virgin Media. John Malone also has a controlling stake in Discovery and recently Discovery bought a majority stake in Eurosport in effect giving John Malone control of Eurosport.)

To be honest I think the current model is unsustainable. 50m viewers lost world wide - and not all of that attributable to the change to pay tv in several countries, not just here - but the lost revenue being made up by the Sports broadcasters, means that the likes of Sky Sports will be paying ever more to achieve ever less as time goes by.
I think we've just got to wait it out.
