Phone upgrade
Hey all,
I am due an upgrade on 22nd of April (it was supposed to be the first! but I've taken ownership of my contract from my mum, so I'm having to wait). Anyway I'm after the Galaxy S5, which is a 4G phone. I'm currently with Orange, how easy would it be for me to transfer to EE to get 4G?

Re: Phone upgrade
Probably not difficult at all - EE are pushing the 4G services over Orange and T-Mobile plans and brands. Only EE is available via the online shop now.

Re: Phone upgrade
My missus went from Orange to EE when she got my iPhone. The switch was quick and painless. But EE's customer ervice is the worst I have ever experienced from any mobile provider I've been with.
Having said that that's if I need to call them - the 4g etc is great.

Re: Phone upgrade
How simple is it to do then Dilli? Do I need to obtain a PAC code to move my number and that's it or is there more to it?

Re: Phone upgrade
technically orange no longer exists, EE is Orange & T-Mobile, that's why the signal had plummeted as they have been turning off towers

Doubt you even need a PAC code as they are all the same company - it'll be just like any other upgrade

Re: Phone upgrade
The missus didn't need a pac code nope - they did it all on the phone and I just put the new sim in the iPhone and it was on EE.

Neither.
You need to phone up and ask for an upgrade, that is all. When the new phone and SIM arrive, put it in and turn it on.

Re: Phone upgrade
Both are now combined - I'm in the same position and I phoned up on Saturday for my upgrade options. Still thinking about what to get.

Re: Phone upgrade
Thinking of getting a new phone it is between two, I don't really use my mobile for much expect for text and calling could anyone give me advice on which one please. The two I am looking at are.
Samsung Galaxy S111 mini or Sony Xperia L
I know they are not top of the range phones but like I say I only really call and text.
Meant to say the deal for the Sony £14.00 per month 1000 minutes 500 MB unlimited texts unlimited calls to Virgin mobiles,Samsung the same apart it is £16.00 per month

£14 x 24 = £336
You can buy a s3 from carphone warehouse for £90
Virgin do a sim you can get if your a virgin media customer for £5 per month for unlimited text and calls 250mb data so = £120.
£120 + 90 = £210

Re: Phone upgrade
in my opinion, in that price range i'd look at a moto g. Its £99 and can be unlocked for £2
https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/phones/mot...-blank-_-blank
The Moto g is as powerful as the full sized s3 and is a steal for £99. Out of your choices i'd use the sony, the s3mini is too small and is around 3 years old, the Sony has better camera, bigger screen and newer
