Bit harsh, he wasn't the greatest character actor ever, but he did have a good sense of comic timing, and had a great soliloquy voice.
To me, the most underrated actor on that show was Karyn Parsons, who played Hilary. Played the character perfectly, and somehow managed a straight face all the time.
