TiVo : Remote control tuning

Just had TV installed today by VM, but the fitter did not set up my remotes to control the on/off and volume controls for the TVs!!

I asked him about it and he couldn't care less!

I am sure that someone has asked this question before but can someone point me in the right direction.

I have a TIVO box connected to a Technika model 32-310B

I also have a V HD box connected to a Luxor (unsure of model as label is under wall bracket connector)

For Tivo press home>Help and settings>help>Tivo box>Program your Tivo remote>set up to control your TV.

For VHD press Home.Help>Help with your remote control>Set your tv volume.

Then follow the instructions each box gives you.

I thought that was part of the install?
The engineer spent about 20 minutes going through all the remote codes for my TV, and there were A LOT. He did it for both TiVo remotes

I was going to say that I could not imagine setting up the Tivo remote to control the volume on your TV is part of an install.
