When an area recieves 120Mb upgrade will the uploads be increased back to 10:1 also?
On the speed double checker a date is shown for when my area receives the 120Mb upgrade. Is this the same date as when upload speeds will be increased back to 10:1 ratio?
Thanks for any replies.

Re: When an area recieves 120Mb upgrade will the uploads be increased back to 10:1 al
Is depending from the area
Mine get full upload when fully got updated (100/10) and so mate next door from 10/1 mb got 30/3 straight away
Then the extra 2mb upload will be much later when the 120 will completed
But some areas looking in this thread, it did when the 120mb finished
http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/12...ble-speed.html
But remember even your area has fully updated then upload in some cases follows little later and some times before the fully 120
From your question i am guessing you got 100/5 but not the 12mb...
If this is the case when your area was fully done? (not the extra 120 but the normal updates)

Re: When an area recieves 120Mb upgrade will the uploads be increased back to 10:1 al
The only confirmed 10:1 ratio for the post-April tiers is for 120Mbit with a 12Mbit upload
The others are 30/2 60/3, and 100/5 at the moment
100/5 won't get a 10:1 upload as that will happen when it gets upgraded to 120Mbit. What happens to the other two tiers and when hasn't been confirmed yet

Re: When an area recieves 120Mb upgrade will the uploads be increased back to 10:1 al
Actually I went to 120 before my upstream shifted from 5, months before. I'm trying to remember all the way back to when it happened, but I believe I went from 50/5 to 100/5 for a few months, then to 120/5 for a few months and then to 120/12. I didn't have a 10 meg upstream at any point. About a week before the upstream upgrade I shifted from one to two upstream channels. About a month after the 100/5 upgrade I went from four downstream channels to six which sorted out the initially patchy speed (acceptable and expected, they were working on it after all). Last night I went from six downstream channels to eight. Since there was no speed issue, I assume this is for future capacity. Downtime was significant with the 6 to 8 channel shift though, and knocked out my internet radio. Thank goodness for the BBC broadcast service; There was still something worth listening to.

Ben, is it possible you could offer definite clarification on this issue, as on the Virgin Media Community the mods are posting different information to you. Thanks.

Re: When an area recieves 120Mb upgrade will the uploads be increased back to 10:1 al
Someone has posted on the VM forums that it's possible to force 10meg upload by getting CS to change the billing code from XXXL to 100BB or something like that. Supposedly it's the same price and such. Can't confirm myself, though.

Did that put you on another 12 or 18 month contract or did it just keep going at the stage you where before?
If it doesn't force a new fixed contract I would want to try to get that as I really want the upload upgraded to the promised 10:1 ratio

Assuming this works and assuming you don't get locked into a new contract, it might depend on that particular CS agent knowing what they're doing.
