Re: D Link Router
LOL
Well firstly, dont buy a new computer.
Need a bit more background info, the kindle must be connected by wireless, it supports N standard so fine there
Is the computer connected hard wired or wireless?

Re: D Link Router
When the computers connected (wireless ) then the Kindle will not connect and vice versa, hope that makes sense.

Re: D Link Router
factory reset the router, pinhole at the back, hold it down for 30odd seconds then setup from scratch.

The computer must be G only, while the kindle is N
Running in mixed mode, or the router at G only should do the trick

Are you real? What's wrong with a new router? Or an N card for the computer?
And Craig's right about the regular pinhole reset advice. It should at least be accompanied by a statement of what that move cures.

Re: D Link Router
i cant be bothered to go through every setting on the 615, if theres an incorrect setting, glitch or any other issue then a pinhole reset will default the thing to auto. that then followed by a simple set up securing wifi should do nicely.
no need to n card any machine unless the OP requires better throughput over wifi.
the OP says rep says upgrade the computer.. what for? the OP has problems connecting all devices at once.

Re: D Link Router
Ridiculous explanation. Apart from the Rep being an absolute dork for daring to suggest buying a new computer, the trouble to which peops are put (who also don't know the DIR-615 settings) by following your consistent pinhole reset advice is unreasonable.
In a recent post, I put up the DIR-615 settings the person needed. I bothered.

Re: D Link Router
You missed my clearly made point. Rather than spend hundreds on a new computer I was mooting something much cheaper.
