Superhub wireless performance

Hi,

I currently have my iMAC connected to the superhub via a ringmain homeplug adaptor and am currently getting 60Mbps which is fab.

Now when I downloaded the Speedtest app on my ipad and ran it i'm getting 1.59Mbps, which is a bit rubbish.

Any ideas what I should change on the superhub to improve performance?

Thanks

Re: Superhub wireless performance

Sounds like you need to review your Superhub wireless settings. The defaults are not necessarily the optimum.

Re: Superhub wireless performance

Is the SH set to 5 GHz? I get 35 meg on my iPad.Mind you, if I move to to the door of the room where the SH is, it drops to 18 meg.

So I'm in modem mode except when I'm experimenting and use a decent wireless router.

The SuperHub is a wireless fail and this cannot be rctified owing to there only being two (postage stamp sized) anennae located uselessly at the bottom rear of the thing. Unless you hang it from a lamp in themiddle of a room, wi-fi is next to useless.

If you're on 2.4 GHz, there's loads else that can affect wireless speed, particularly congestion on the channel.

Hope that helps.
