moving tiers 50>60

one that you guys may or maynot be able to help with. with my working state at the moment dwindling i've been in mind about reducing outgoings. first port of call was vm.

now currently 50meg/xl phone/m tv now the could drop it by £10pm without re-contracting by upping to 60meg/xl phone/freeview tv. now happy with my 50meg as has been rock solid since i've had it ( bar r36/r37 saga) and don't want to really change if help - also waiting for the upgrade. so what i need to know is this - is there anyone on here in widnes/runcorn on 60meg and can tell me if they have/had any issues with it like utilisation issues. or is there anyway of finding that info out?

if there is anything like that then i may just ride it out and avoid it and wait for the 100 upgrade.

60Mb uses the exact same network and capacity as 50Mb so there will be no difference utilization. Or anything else. It will be exactly the same as you already have with slightly more speed.

I am not sure if you understand what you will be doing dude. You will be downgrading yourself as you will be ditching the tv and moving to a lower BB tier or 30mb which will eventually be doubled to 60mbit. I am not sure you can change your package without signing up to a new 12 month contract.

well what vm have told me is that if they change the tv to what amounts to freeview, leave the phone as is on xl and change the bb to 60meg then it can be done without a fresh contract. but if I was to do the same but keep 50meg it would mean a fresh contract at virtually the same price...........

the only thing that may sway it is the 100meg upgrade

Re: moving tiers 50>60

they are lieing dude. There is no way they will willingly downgrade you and lose money and not force you into a new contract. It is the only upside for them. If you want to do it though to save the £££ and arent worried about 100mbit then call their bluff.
