Virgin Media launches TiVo TV Anywhere for iDevices

Nobody noticed this?

Quote:
Subscribers get access to 45 live TV channels

Sky Go has a new rival, with the launch of the TiVo TV Anywhere app from Virgin Media.

It's a substantial offering too, with 30 live TV channels accessible from almost any broadband connection. No mention of 3G, so we can presume that's not possible right now. But if you have an iPhone or iPad and happen to be in a Wi-Fi zone, you get access to much of your favourite TV, along with 4,000 hours of TV on demand. You can get 45 channels on a laptop, but 30 is still a good amount to choose from.

That's not all. You can also get recommendations of TV and movies to watch, the ability to manage your TiVo box, including deleting shows and setting up WishLists and if you want to show off in the house, you can use your device as a remote control, working from anywhere in the home. Change channels, search On Demand, pause, rewind, fast forward - all of that is possible.

Of course, you'll need to be a Virgin Media customer to use it, with the app free to download. Android users, Virgin Media is 'working on it', so it shouldn't be too long to wait.
