TiVo Update Coming! 13-24th August - Just got a message on my box
Anyone else get this? Apparently some exciting new features are coming. Apart from reminders, what other features could these be?

I'm looking forward to this update as well  miss reminders lol.
Sometimes I'm watching a program and end up missing another.
No idea on the other new things, wish they would sort out streaming.. They enabled it all and spent time getting it working but with the missing rights to use it it's just useless and sat there doing nothing.
Would be good if they would do that, mines already plugged into a network cable
Also release the TiVo app.. It's ready but they are withholding it

Mine has given me a second message this morning saying that it has started.
Does this mean that the update is starting or the updating period has started?

It won't start until the Olympics have finished and will be done in the early hours. So the earliest that it could start, is around 2am on the 13th.

Interesting to see on channel 100 that they are advertising that you can search on the Spotify app. As this is not possible at the moment perhaps it will be added to Spotify in the update?

There is but sometimes I don't want to record the program or I'm already recording several program's.
Will look for source again but it's well known app has been ready for months.
Vm withheld it because they said it was an issue that you need to connect a network cable to the box as they felt it would be a limiting factor for most customers so they wanted to look at some form of alternative fix, so they are withholding the app. Likely been ready since end of last year.

The implememtation of reminders records the 'reminded' show as well as reminding you about it

You only have 3 tuners, so if you are recording 3 shows already, then you have to choose between one of those and the show you wanted to watch via a reminder anyway.

Oh, dear, that'll be the next complaint: 'I didn't want to record it, I just wanted a reminder!'
There should be an option like 'You have set a reminder for this programme. Do you want it recorded as well?'
