No powercut reselience (as usual)
Murray about to be on the TV, and one little power outage, about a minute at most, and another all service failure on VM - and THEN we find the TV's own DVB tuner won't select!
VM Phone out, VM TV & broadband out... BT phone working.
Why do VM services always die so badly when the power blips (RM14) - haven't they heard of uninterruptible supplies, do they test to see if things will actually reboot automatically.
Ok, maybe I malign them and there may have been a bigger outage elsewhere, but it sure seems that VM services are unable to resume without an engineer going and pressing some buttons somewhere - EVERY time there's been a blip!

Phone shouldn't cut out.. I thought its a requirement so in the event of a power cut you can contact emergency services.
Down road from me one time a
Car hit a cabinet.. While thing inside was filled with car batteries.

Re: No powercut reselience (as usual)
If there is a power outage in the area where your local node is located it would explain why you have lost TV & BB, as you had a momentary interruption this is the most likely cause.

Depends if your phone is mains-powered (like a DECT base).

True, or is a VOIP phone (after all, even assuming their broadband service is attached to a UPS, your router probably isn't).

I've had my VM phoneline die in a power cut before (using a basic phone) whilst the in-laws down the road had the power cut but still had BT service.
