Can you rely on Tivo?

I am almost a month in to my Tivo experience and have just had two major disappointments with programmes Tivo recorded.

I sat down last night to watch the film "Hunger" recorded from ITVHD, and found it had only recorded the first hour and a minute.
Why it only partially recorded the film is a mystery to me, and it was particularly annoying to find that out after watching an hour of it.

Tonight I went to watch the first episode of "Felix and Murdo" and found it has no audio.

I trusted Tivo to record these programmes for me.
Big mistake?
I never had this happen with the HD+ box, or my DVD recorder

Re: Can you rely on Tivo?

Yes, I can rely on TiVo. I haven't had your problem. Maybe it's a fault with your box that can either be easily fixed, or worst case scenario replaced.

I'd give Virgin a call to report the issue. You can then keep us posted, just in case we ever encounter the same problem. Hope it's sorted swiftly.

Is there an entry in Recording Hiccups for it?

Hunger is being shown on Film4 next Monday if you want to try again.

Richard,

I have had TiVo for 3 weeks now and in my instance it has worked perfectly, the only nit picking issue I can warn you is remote TiVo created recordings have no extra padding on them

Spiderplant is there any likelyhead of this changing in the future, as some TV programmes overun badly?

PS I am happy as a pig in poo, I found the back button today on the TiVo remote, last chan I wondered what that button was for
