Burnley Dodgy Connection
Playing DOTA2 and the connection freezes for 5 seconds every 20 seconds.
Noticed it before i started playing just browsing the web, hope it sorts itself out.
The modem ready light is flashing but im still connected.

Re: Burnley Dodgy Connection
I'm having problems too. I've been trying to watch videos but they are buffering every few seconds. I can't get onto the Virgin website either, to check if there are any known faults.
It was like this yesterday too, but not as bad...

Re: Burnley Dodgy Connection
Yep, same thing here. Been bad all day in fact.
Starting to lose my patience with VM as quite honestly this kind of thing seems to be happening more and more regularly, and having to jump through retentions to talk to someone in this country who can actually help you (Got nothing against India, but their technicians run you through the basics that we all already know and then hang up on you when they run out of script) is beyond a joke.

Re: Burnley Dodgy Connection
Same here Killswitch, i wish there were more options in terms of providers though with Cable.
BT Infinity isn't available to me yet and their support apparently is equally as bad, if not worse, and have bandwidth restrictions (last time i checked).
Ive had quite a smooth ride with VM right up until the last 3-4 months, and considering the amount we pay for it i would expect much more.

We've got an issue with BURN-CMTS-07 in Burnley, engineers are working on it.

Ticket ref is 1838426
This can be tracked on the Status Page as it's been upgraded to a Priority 1 outage.

Re: Burnley Dodgy Connection
Thanks digital, i checked it yesterday and it said the estimated fix time would be TODAY at 6pm, this has been moved back to Saturday at 6pm.
Quite annoying really but i will have to deal with it i guess.

They are only estimates, an external support group is working on the fault as it's CMTS specific. It's a high priority. Hope it gets sorted soon for you guys.

Re: Burnley Dodgy Connection
Almost a week (regardless of when VM acknowledged this - it started on Wednesday) is not really acceptable
