Yes - Gordon's proved to be in a class of his own when it comes to giving away our money.....
The Swedes aren't used to this sort of things so it'll be interesting to see what happens to SAAB and what the reaction of the public there is.

Re: Bye, bye SAAB
It's a shame because Saab started to make some class motors, the Sport Diesel they've just bought out looks nice inside and out.
The day Saab got taken over by GM was the start of the slide down the slippery slope. I hope VOLVO aren't the next ones to fall by the wayside.

Re: Bye, bye SAAB
The problem is that people just don't 'get' SAAB's
Clarkson has always said that he want's to understand the smug contented look that SAAB drivers have.
I can tell you it is the feeling of being safe in a solid car and not feeling like a bean in a can.
The cars have always been great, but they are seen as too expensive.
My aged 9-5 is brilliant, it does everything I ask of it and never complains ( and I ask a lot )
I have been on day trips to cornwall in it (320 miles each way) and not felt exhasted at the end of the day.
OK the insurance is silly and it can be heavy on fuel, but it is a quality car to transport myself and family around if safety.
I do hope they return and keep making great cars.
