Every HD channel suffers with it, some worse than others. 5 HD is so far behind the actors are clearly mouthing last week's script!! Driving me up the bl**dy wall having to watch everything in SD

It's not just VM , I notice it bad on 5 HD through Sky sometimes.

It's a Tivo thing unfortunately. No sync issues at all on the V+ HD box in the other room.

no lip sync issues here, how is Tivo connected to the TV?
Some amps and particularly 'optical out' connections add the delay, good amps and TV's should automatically compensate for the delay.
I have my Tivo hooked up to a Onkyo Amp via HDMI and no noticeable sync issues for me.

Re: Is there any word yet on when VM will address the sync problem on the HD channels

I only ever seem to see any issue while watching itv1 HD at the weekends. Generally no problem on other HD channels however I do use an Onkyo AV receiver which has as sync option switched on.

Re: Is there any word yet on when VM will address the sync problem on the HD channels

HDMI direct to TV, Tivo via coaxial to Denon A/V amp. Sync problems whether listening to TV audio or via amp. The V+ HD box was hooked up identically to the same TV and amp with no issues before it got moved. Problem is obviously with the Tivo box - I'll see if VM will swap it out.

Re: Is there any word yet on when VM will address the sync problem on the HD channels

I've only seen sync issues once or twice, usually pretty minimal. Did ruin my recorded version of The Fight Of Their Lives on ITV1 HD last week though, which was a shame. Hearing fists land 200ms or so after it happens visually is plain weird.

Re: Is there any word yet on when VM will address the sync problem on the HD channels

Never had sync issues on TiVo and mine is hooked up via HDMI to my amp.

To the OP: what do you mean when it's connected via Coaxial to your amp? What lead is it?

Re: Is there any word yet on when VM will address the sync problem on the HD channels

Maybe he means an optical cable into one of these? I'm planning to get one myself as my 5.1 amp only has one optical and one co-axial.

No sync issues here either. Digital Optical from Tivo to Panasonic Home Theatre.

None here - HDMI from TV to amp, HDMI from BluRay to amp, HDMI out from amp to TV (LCD).
