Spotify and XL

I have had XL broadband at 30MB for some time now, so I thought I would try the TIVO Spotify app. Following onscreen instructions I went to my Virgin Media home page to get my user name and password. I kept getting the message that I should upgrade to 30Mb. Thinking that there must be an error I rang customer helpline to be informed that as an existing customer I would have to have my broadband re-contracted for a year and it would cost me £4.00 a month more. Thats a lot of money for the Spotify App when I was under the impression that initially it would not cost. Any body else had this experience??

Re: Spotify and XL

If you are already on 30Mbit broadband, you should be able to recontract for £0 extra a month.

When they add the Spotify offer onto the account it doesn't change any of the rest of the bundle
