suspect phone call

06/12/2012 call was 1235local

hi

My Wife answered the phone this morning to an american Sounding gent
who asked to speak to mr ##### As there are 3 of us with it she
asked which one Reply was the card holder i assume the tvBox smartcard ?
passed phone to me but all i heard was Phone being Slammed down
now to me this Sounds Dodgy asking for Card holder not the account
holder am Sure Virgin dont do that .

Yes caller said was from Virgin Media and used my Surname only

Not sure why they'd ask for a cardholder? Does sound a little strange.

It will probably be 02071521039 or 02070594000, these numbers keep constanly phoning my mobile (which is on the three network btw) and my virgin media landline, i have never answered any of the calls, but a quick search on who rings me says that these numbers are from people stating they are virgin media, then asking for account details.
