We're giving you our Talk 08 plan for free

Anyone else received this e-mail from Virgin Media giving you the option to upgrade to the Talk 08 plan for free (normall costs £2 per month).

If you opt in you can make 250 minutes worth of calls to 0845 and 0870 numbers for free every month.

Can you only use these numbers in your free time (weekends) or anytime?

Re: We're giving you our Talk 08 plan for free

Virgin wrote to me "we would like to give you a little extra" i thought hat sounds good.

Until i read the mailing they had monitored my phone useage and recommended i take the Talk 08 £2 plan not for free though, they said it would save me £0.57 a month on average ,so i pay £2 a month for the talk 08 £2 add on to save £0.57 a month yeah right, nice of them to write but seems a waste of postage.LOL

Re: We're giving you our Talk 08 plan for free

I've received this email - the Talk 08 'tickle'. Says if I opt in I get 250 minutes of free 0845 and 0870 calls every month for ever and ever.

So does that mean I don't get charged the £2.00 per month fee or do I still have to pay that and then the first 250 minutes of calls are free?

Yes, it's a free add-on as long as you remain a phone customer, only condition is you must keep it for at least 30 days.

Just a tip if you do sign up, the virgin account number on some of the mailings has included the area code. If it has eleven digits, ignore the first two when entering it on the signup page.
