Exclamation Views from close up!

OK
so now the Tivo is in. The guy whom fitted it did a great job. First class.
Sorry but after one full day ( yes I know its only a day) Fail to see what the fuss is about.
On the plus side
Have two boxes now at less cost - that has to be good.
To my eye the picture is better !
But that`s it.
One the minus side
Missing the reminders Sorry but we do miss them the arguments don`t wash with me I am afraid .
And would like to have page up & down back instead of a line at a time.( if this can be done ,how?)
At the moment the function to to go back hangs but I guess time will fix that.
And the digi sender wont work if the Hdmi is in ( so moved it with the other box.) Which is a pain

With all due respect - you won't see the benefit after just one day! Once it learns what you like through thumbs up and down, add your favourite shows, actors or directors to your wish lists and set them to record, then it starts to become your best friend (in PVR terms at least!).

Page up and down any menu using the Channel up and down buttons.

Reminders will be added back in at some point as they are an essential feature, regardless of how some people will tell you to live your life.

Happy TiVo times!

I fully understand your point, hence why I started with saying that. However sorry but never have been a groupie so not interested in actors etc . Favorite shows perhaps but lets be honest I`ve managed for forty years without a "sitter" & I quite like reading TV guides !
Page up & down I understand that -what I miss & would like is it to go to the next page( or screen if you prefer) not go to NEXT line. If I can see it, I can read it ! I don`t want to keep clicking away to move down a line at a time

Give it a month or two but at the moment moving the V+ back to the main room is favorite. Really miss those two items !

Have you actually tried pressing the CH+ CH- buttons?
These act as page up and down whther you are in the guide, on demand or whatever.
This is what they meant you to use when they said you use the channel up and down buttons.
