VMD280 connected to DIR655

I used to have the old non wireless VM modem connected to a Dlink DIR655 wireless router, anyway to cut a long story short Virgin have replaced the old VM modem with a new VMDG280 wireless router modem and unplugged my DIR655.
I have a NAS that I need to connect to the network using a usb and as the VM modem has not got a usb and the DIR has I want to use the VM modem without wireless activated and connected to the DIR.
Can anyone tell me how to set this up please?
Thankyou for any help

Erm... hasn't the VM280 hub got the modem mode upgrade R30, the same as the superhub?

If so, invoke modem mode and stick your dir655 back into the mix.
