Bits of the web rather slow today on BT?

Hello all

I have experienced delays waiting for pages to start loading on some websites today. BBC News is fine; Cable Forum is not. Radio Times is fine; a client's ecommerce site hosted by 123-reg is not.

On the affected sites, pages load quickly once the loading actually starts, but there is a delay waiting for download to start.

My speedtest is fine - better than it's been in some time, in fact:

My ISP is BT. Anyone got similar experiences, or ideas about what might be going on?

Crossed my mind too ... wondered why it affected some sites but not others though?
