Should I get upgrade to TIVO from V+

This might seem like a daft question to most but there are a couple of things I need to consider.

First is price: I currently pay £87.20 for the following (is this a good deal?)

Telephone Line Rental £13.90
Talk Unlimited £8.00
Loyalty Pack B B, Phone TV 3 D Sky - £22.70
T V Size: X L £26.00
1 Additional V Box £15.00
V+ HD Monthly Fee £0.00
Add Set Box(es) Discount - £8.50
Broadband Size: L £26.00
Skymovie 2,SkyMovie 1,Sports 1, £29.50
Sports 2

Now I understand that I could get rid of the £6.50 additional box fee with TIVO but are there any additional charges that I would incur to take me above what I am currently paying or does all this look like a decent decent deal anyway?

The second issue relates to connectivity. I currently have a Panasonic Plasma display (TW7) that was released just before the explosion of HD tellys. I connect with a Tuner box so that there is only 1 wire going to the telly and everything else connects to the tuner box - but there is only 1 component connection on there, the rest are scarts and 1 s-video. This works fine for now as the V+ goes into component (and is a great picture) and the DVD player uses the s-video also producing good results. I understand TIVO does not have component connections and I really dont want to start using the scarts, so apart from replacing the telly (which I dont want to do as 1. It cost a lot of money and 2. produces pictures as good as I have seen on the new ones anyway) what are my options? Is there a convertor I can buy but at what cost and what results?

As you can see, my current system is fine but I accept that TIVO offers additional functionality that I would like to explore. So if I can swap without increasing my monthly subs, degrading the quality of the picture, buying a new telly or having to spend loads on a convertor I think I will.

Any help or advice greatfully recieved.
Cheers
TZ

You won't loose the £6.50 extra box fee, it would go up by £3 as you'd get an additional TiVo fee making it £91.20. At that price I'd pay an extra £10 to get 50megbb and skysports movies etc hd

I thought that when you took TIVO you could have an extra V+ box at no extra fee? We currently have 2 V+ boxes and I pay £6.50 a month for the extra box. I'd just swap the main V+ box for a TIVO and leave the extra V+ box in the bedroom.

Are you telling me that I would have to pay £6.50 for the extra box and £3 for the TIVO sub?
Cheers

That promo was you could move your existing outlet for free but it's no longer offered. You'd still pay your £6.50 + a £3 TiVo fee
