Unhappy Toshiba Wireless Driver

My Wife's Laptop is a Toshiba Sattelite L350-212. I had to format the main drive and re install Windows Vista, But I have lost the Drivers for the System.

Windows detected that there was no Drivers for a Realtek RTL8101 Family PCI-E Ethernet. So I Downloaded that from the Tinternet, and It shows up in Device Manager as Working.

However..........

Exclimation Marks are next to.......

Standard VGA Graphics Adapter
Ethernet Controller
SM BUS Controller
Video Controller

I cant seem to find out where to download these from, and she is having 40 fits because she wants to get back playing World of Warcraft.

Can anyone Help?

Re: Toshiba Wireless Driver

Have you tried downloading from the Toshiba site laptop drivers page, as it looks like it gives you options to download every driver you require?

Re: Toshiba Wireless Driver

I believe that is the correct page, have you tried entering your 'short model no' i would enter that and install all the obvious drivers.

'Display Driver' is in the list, that is your graphics driver.

Also try 'Wireless Lan Driver', 'Touch Pad Driver' etc

Select them and click search then use trial and error and shouldn't take long especially with the 'short model no' (check under laptop for clues)

Or you could install TEMPRO from Toshiba this may tell you what drivers you need.

I just found display driver, but theres no mention of ethernet controller.

Ive tried installing the drivers that normally are associated with ethernet, IE; Wireless LAN, Realtek, but nothing seems to work.

The Ethernet card appears to be working in device manager, but we cant connect to the internet. Its not picking up any wireless signals.

PS - Yes I have the wireless enabled on the laptop.

Re: Toshiba Wireless Driver

Relax a bit

It'll all be on the Toshiba site, now the LAN driver should be your Ethernet Controller and according to Toshiba site it is made by 'Realtek Semiconductor Corporation'

Enter the short model no? that'll give you the drivers i hope.

Ok I downloaded Lan Driver, tried installing it on the wifes PC and it came up with remove or repair, so I removed it, then Installed it again. Restarted, it was still showing that the ethernet controller was "Exclamation". So I removed the Ethernet Controller in Device Manager, and Restarted.

It picked up something on reboot. Status showed it was installing drivers for Matshita DVD RAM. Then it said I must reboot, so I did.

When it next booted up it said it had located new hardware and asked me to insert the disk that came with my ethernet controller. I cant as i dont have one.

If by some chance this ethernet controller is on toshiba website, i cant locate it, but the laptop wont pick up any wireless signal without it. I dont think.

Re: Toshiba Wireless Driver

Have you not tried windows update?

It really should all be on that sire or windows update.

Try TEMPRO or the shnort model no like i suggested.

You're nearly there though.

[edit]

Have you installed the 'Wireless LAN Driver' from Toshiba? there are 3 types you just have to decide which 1.

Re: Toshiba Wireless Driver

Bring the laptop downstairs and plug it into your modem router with the ethernet cable, you may have to reboot the modem/router though, hopefully that will then connect to the internet where you can update.

Have you tried all 3 lan drivers and wireless than drivers etc?
