A heads up...
I have been paying for my son's XBox Live through my account on my debit card.
Then my son used his card to purchase some points and they reverted from my card to his card unknown to him.As he almost never has much money in the account they managed to drain his account to the point where there wasn't enough left in the account so the last payment failed and no XBox live.
Now I'm not bitching about the lost money so much as I wasn't aware that this was possible to move from one card to another without permission and I'm warning all of you that this is possible, apparently so you don't fall foul of this process.

Re: A heads up...
I think by putting in the new card number, it _always_ supercedes the old one. :/
In hindsight, what your son should have done was purchase point cards with his debit card from a shop or online retailer. They would have probably been cheaper to boot and your CC would have been continued to be charged as normal

i always buy the points cards from Amazon as well as the Live Subs themselves, so no card details have to be given to Microsoft.

All I can say is the system needs a little more flexibility in that case...

Re: A heads up...
Everywhere I shop online if more than one cards on the site one of them is set to default and its upto me which. If a new card was used and the account settings were not checked then this is purely a case of user error

Re: A heads up...
I always get my XBL subs off fleebay, the cheapest I've had is 13 month's XBL for £28 quid.
If either of you still pay monthly Maggy thats £60 a year I think (if not more), so I would recommend cancelling the direct debit and purchasing over the internet.

This is Microsoft though. You can't even turn off auto renew without a phone call with a 30 minute sales pitch telling you all the wonderful features of xbox live you would be missing out on by doing so.

Re: A heads up...
I know with mine I do not have my new card detail's on my Xbox live account, but I do have my old card on there.
I now just buy my Xbox Live and Point's of Ebay as it is anything up to 50% cheaper.
