Modem speed capabilities
Hi Folks,
I have been around this forum for a while but have just registered and this is my first post.
I have asked Virgin Media to upgrade to the 30mb broadband deal and am happy with the deal being offered. However they state that my existing broadband modem (a SB50101E model) is not capabel of passing the 30mb speed. As such they want to charge a £30 activation fee which I do not agree with. Also, I do not need a wireles modem as I have hard wired my house with various conections dotted around.
Basically, do I need to get the new modem and if so does the new modem have wired capability
Cheers

Re: Modem speed capabilities
The superhub is a pretty modem/router in one ..
If you are an average user it's great, if you are an advanced user, until next month, its a bit of a pain to do things ..
Anything above 20Mb needs a Superhub ..

My superhub experience was so bad that within 2 weeks VM had credited the £30 back to my a/c, so if you have a bad experience you can get it for free!!
