Bizarre Samsung V+ behaviour?

Hi. I recently got a Samsung V+ box installed to replace my old SA V+ which had been giving problems.

Anyway tonight, as is my wont, I was taping both Champions League Quarter Finals at the same time - Real v Spurs on SS2, and Inter v Schalke on SS4 . We had a brief power outage at half-time, but when the power was restored a couple of minutes later, the V+ kicked back in and soon both recording lights were lit again, so I thought all was well.

However, after the power outage, the box, instead of continuing to record both second halves on SS2 and SS4, actually recorded two versions of SS2 (so two identical second halfs of Real v Spurs) - despite clearly labelling one recording as being SS4.

Is this usual or am I insane? I have a witness btw.
