No picture on BBC3

Hi all,

First post so please be nice!!

Is anyone else having trouble with BBC3? For most of the week now I've had no picture but sound on the channel. Have the problem on my samsung V+ box downstairs and my normal box up stairs. Sound is fine, and the little BBC Iplayer icon in the is there but screen is completly blank.

Any help?

Yeah tried that. Says there's no problem. Just think its very strange that its only one channel but exactly the same problem on two boxes.

Think a phone call to virgin is in need tomorrow morning. Didn't want to bother ringing if other people already had the same problem.

i'm with crap virgin, also had no picture only sound for the past few days. im stuck listening to family guy, happy days.

also, it is ONLY bbc3

I would give them a ring as it a part time channel. Have you tried to re-boot the box to see if that helps?. I have the Channel on a Tivo and also a SA V+ box as well

Have you checked all the connections are secure

And tried to re-boot the box as well

i'v taken the card out and turned it on and off, then put card back in. that resets stuff i think, but it's made no difference

Yeah checked all the connections and the box gets re-booted every day.

Same problem on two different boxes at the same time. Very strange. Wish me look trying to explain this on the phone! Ha!

I'm in Liverpool too. Think my probelm started Sunday or Monday,

i braved putting my hands behind the tv(spiders live there) to fiddle with the scart,didn't think it was the cable because it was only 1 channel but as it's been off for days now i figured if it was a fault with the provider it would have been fixed by now. obviously not!

i couldn't say for sure when it was; couldn't of been sunday for me as i watched the new family guys.

well at least we know it's not just us! but its annoying, load of american dads on tonight and i was looking forward to em. got pizza in and everything

i'd love to but i haven't got a house phone and my credit on my mobile.

plus i haven't paid my bill in months ( was in hospital) and they will just whinge at me, i offered to pay 20 a week but they wanted it all upfront pfft.

this isn't why the channel isn't working though, i still get all the freeview channels, just not the ones you pay for.
it's mad that bbc4 works fine but 3 doesn't

Sorry for what has happened to you and I hop that you are on the mend. In regards to the TV channel I'am perplexed now?
